2023 Michael Florentino Grenache Blanc
Albariño is a Northern Spanish grape that is thought to be a clone of the Riesling grape varietal. We love the fruit and lovely aroma of this grape. It pairs well with fruit, soft bold cheese like camembert and brie, and anything from the sea, but especially shell fish.
Tasting notes
Wonderfully balanced wine that pairs well with food or just a glass on the deck. This Albariño has fragrant notes of citrus, apricot, and a touch of pineapple. The minerality, lemon and tropical flavor dominate. It has a creamy mouth feel and a mango/peach finish. It presents a rare complexity, that result is a simply lovely wine. Used 1 barrel to age some of the Albariño to add a creamier texture that rounds out the minerality.
